The Truth About Consoles

Videogame consoles are just better than gaming on a computer, and that’s a fact that the  market demographic has surely shown by now.  Consoles have a massive install base versus how many PC gamers there are, and you will discover that the thrill of being able to just sit back on your couch playing a game on your huge widescreen TV is going to be a lot of fun.  That’s something that computers just can’t compete with, and it’s a convenience factor that gives consoles a huge edge.

In fact, that edge is further compounded with the fact that you can also play consoles without needing to make any hardware changes to run the software.  If you have a Sony Playstation, then you can still run any game that’s out for PS3 without having to worry whether or not your console meets the requirements.  That’s another huge advantage, and what draws many to enjoying that experience.

Of course, one of the limitations is that consoles are prone to a lot more crippling problems.  With a PC you can troubleshoot and look for ways around your problems, But when it comes to a console this is not an option. When your PS3 starts giving you light read errors, then you’re not going to be able to do much at all when it comes to getting into playing a game again. That can be absolutely maddening, especially if you’re just counting on your console to provide you with that little bit of extra fun after a really hard day at the office.
